Christiane (Chrissy) Roussell is the founder and CEO of Altura Leadership Consulting Group. Altura’s mission is to upskill leaders to create an optimal work environment and a culture where everyone does their best work while feeling safe to be their authentic selves. Altura offers strategic HR business partner and employee relations advice and training to companies at every stage of their life cycle, from startups and emerging companies to mature public and private companies.

Prior to founding Altura, Chrissy was the Vice President, People – Corporate and Employee Relations where she served as the head People Business Partner for the global Corporate functions and led the enterprise-wide Employee Relations & Workforce Compliance function and the Global Corporate Recruiting and Early Career Recruiting functions within Talent Acquisition. She joined Roku from Sony Pictures Entertainment where she was Senior Vice President of People & Organization (Human Resources). In that role, she was the head HR Business Partner supporting the Corporate Functions and led the Employee Relations center of excellence and U.S. immigration function. She joined Sony Pictures after serving as in-house employment counsel at tech and entertainment companies and as outside employment counsel with an employment counseling and litigation practice at large law firms for over a decade.

Chrissy has been an adjunct professor at her alma mater USC Gould School of Law, where she developed the curriculum for and taught HR Compliance. She is also active in a number of charitable and professional organizations, including serving as Vice Chair of the Board of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (Greater Los Angeles).

Chrissy received her B.A. in English from Georgetown University, her J.D. from USC Gould School of Law, and her Human Resources Management Certificate from Loyola Marymount University. She is currently in the Chief HR Officer Executive Education program at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Chrissy is a native Los Angeleno who enjoys cheering on her Lakers, Dodgers, and Kings with her husband and daughter, theatrical productions around Los Angeles, wine tasting (Napa is her happy place), delicious food (which she rarely cooks herself), and any fitness class with great music to distract her from realizing she’s working out.
